Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate individual to be a key member of the client engagement team working on the client site with fellow Guavus employees and the client team, owning and driving critical aspects of the project.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leading client teams
  • Interviewing clients
  • Building Proof of Concept (POC) models
  • Creating and delivering presentations
  • Working with senior members to develop perspectives and insights for the client, gather data and actively contribute to the team's final recommendations.
  • Present team�s work to senior client executives.

Skills Needed:

  • BS degree in Engineering with an MBA or functional consulting experience.
  • Prior work experience from consulting firms as a consultant or engagement manager is a big plus.
  • Understanding of multiple domains, big data analytics and hadoop platform is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst/Consultant: 7+ years
  • Experience on developing proof of concept models
  • Experience working with multiple levels within an organization
  • Significant consulting/client facing experience.



Job Title: Field Solutions Engineers

Location: East Coast; Denver; Bay Area, North America

Job Summery:

Guavus is building a best in class technical support organization, which will provide 365x24x7 support to our global customers and eco system partners. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who enjoy working in a fast paced organization and who have a passion for customer success.

In this role you will learn the Guavus portfolio of products and understand how customers use our software to solve real business problems. You will learn about the telecom industry and other verticals where Guavus products are sold.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Installation and configuration of Guavus products across multiple customer sites across the globe.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure successful installation
  • Resolve technical issues after installation.
  • Work with customer and Guavus personnel to troubleshoot problems either on site or remotely, escalating as appropriate

Skills Needed:

  • Minimum of 7 years relevant hands-on experience
  • Solid understanding of Unix systems with extensive hands on experience on any variant of Unix
  • Hands on experience on one or more scripting languages such as Perl, Shell, Python
  • Understanding of Unix based applications and databases like Apache, Jboss, Tomcat, Infinidb, Mysql & Iptables
  • Experience in setting up monitoring infrastructure � software as well as hardware
  • Prior experience in deploying software on remote infrastructure and remote management and operations.
  • Strong network knowledge
  • Experience working in technical support or technical operations group in previous organizations
  • Excellent system troubleshooting skills (Unix as well as networking issues)

Job Title: Software Engineers C++ Java

Location: San Mateo, CA, North America

Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate engineering with track record of building products preferably in the analytics space. This is an ideal role for somebody looking to iteratively build analytics solutions by working closely with the customer using Agile methodologies.

This position is based in San Mateo, California and reports to an engineering manager who is also based in San Mateo.

As a part of the job requirement there is travel to customer sites in US/Europe/Asia Pacific is required. During the initial period of employment travel to Gurgaon, India where the Guavus R&D center is located is also required.

Skills Needed:

  • Hands-on expertise in Core Java and multithreading.
  • Exposure to databases a must.
  • Strong hold on algorithms and data structures.
  • Strong analytical, coding and problem solving skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in distributed frameworks and technologies e.g. JGroups, Hadoop.
  • Experience in building highly scalable applications, which involve working with huge amount of data.
  • Experience in working with Caching solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • BSEE/CS or related degree

Experience:

Job Title: Solutions Architects

Location: DC/Virginia, New York/New Jersey, Bay Area, North America

Job Description:

Primary Role is technically lead consultative selling of Guavus Analytics solutions to communications service providers with a goal to: Uncover opportunities for Guavus, via customer interactions, customer collateral development and active industry event participation. Manage and shepherd technology proof-of-concept and pilots.

Deliver a detailed statement of work that will be used by Guavus engineering to develop the final solution.

Skills Needed:

  • Strong technical background with 10+ years of telecom experience
  • Understanding of streaming analytics, distributed file systems, distributed processing, databases
  • Understanding of real time processing challenges
  • Ability to effectively interact with VPs to lead engineers within the telecom customer base
  • Customer focused with ability to brainstorm and solve problems by thinking on his feet
  • Ability to distill general problem statements into tangible projects by translating business requirements to engineering requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Operational business intelligence (OBI) in wireline/wireless carriers for driving one or more of the following: tiered pricing, customer segmentation, asset optimization, traffic engineering

Education:

  • A bachelor�s degree in computer science/electrical engineering, MS preferred.



Job Title: Sr. Manager/Director Support and Services

Location: San Mateo, CA, North America

Job Description:

Responsible for building and leading a team of support and field engineers who oversee installation, performance tuning, ongoing preventive maintenance, in-service upgrades and L1/L2 technical support. S/he will also work with the engineering team to continuously improve the field management and serviceability of the company's products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for recruiting, training and leading support and field solutions engineers
  • Plans & schedules the work for Field Service Engineers.
  • Assures optimum solution uptime for customers by quickly responding to problems and managing customer expectations via phone and email.
  • Provides feedback for design and process changes to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Defines metrics and defines goals for the Technical Support and Services function.
  • Ability to interact with customers in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Primary interface to OEM and channel partners for day-1 and day-2 services and support.
  • Assures adherence to service level agreements (SLAs)

Skills Needed:

  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience in technical support role preferably in data communications software or systems company with a minimum of five in leadership roles with direct reports.
  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and/or with equivalent experience.
  • Exposure to mobile telecom service delivery and/or IP data networking.
  • Experience in data warehousing or business intelligence is desired (Oracle, IBM, SAP, EMC, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.
  • Self-starter and independent with ability to manage/coordinate a staff located remotely domestically and internationally (India).
  • Willing to travel and be hands-on in the field to do what it takes to delight the customer

Job Title: Systems Test Engineers

Location: San Mateo, CA, North America

Job Description:

Looking for a passionate engineer with track record of testing and deploying products preferably in the analytics space. This is an ideal role for somebody looking to interface with customers for deployment and acceptance of products in the analytics space.

This position is based in San Mateo, California, US and reports to System Test Manager/Director who is based out of Gurgaon, India. As a part of the job requirement travel to customer sites in US/Europe/Asia Pacific is required. Travel to Gurgaon, India where the Guavus R&D center is located is also required for getting trained on products, typically for 2-3 weeks 3 to 4 times a year.

Skills Needed:

  • Good experience in Linux and shell scripting (Python, Perl etc.)
  • TCP/IP (L2/L3) protocols
  • Experience in manual testing and automation
  • Experience in acceptance testing by working closely with customers

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Database/SQL
  • Experience in distributed technologies e.g. Hadoop
  • Experience in Linux administration

Education:

  • B.S/MS in any engineering from a premier Engineering School
