Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Understand customers data set, schema design, and related attributes
  • Deliver well organized data analysis through reporting, dashboards, modeling and trend analysis
  • Create interesting interfaces that make data useful, accessible, and meaningful.
  • Perform drill down analysis of key business problems and interpret results

Skills Required:

  • Ability to write SQL scripts to retrieve large data sets out of the data warehouse
  • Interest in data analysis techniques using statistical and mathematical tools and techniques
  • Strong analytical as well as written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with database reporting tools and packages are a plus
  • Experience in modeling languages such as R, SAS or SPSS is a plus
  • Exposure to web based technologies
  • Experience with one or more predictive modeling domains, including, but not limited to, dynamic regression, time series models, decision support, recommendation systems, data visualization, data mining, and Bayesian forecasting

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Understand customers devices and the machine data produced by them.
  • Understand Glassbeams ETL process and how the machine data is converted from unstructured logs to a datawarehouse.

Skills Required :

Job Responsibilities:
A QA lead at Glassbeam is a developer with the primary responsibility of effective assurance of product quality through test automation, code inspections, peer reviews, white-box testing and other forms of engineering excellence. The data warehouse is built on a SQL compliant columnar database (Vertica). The technology is deployed on the cloud on Linux virtual servers.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Understand & then build new functions and features in the domain specific language interpreter (SPLi).
  • Assist with database performance tuning.
  • Help identify processing efficiencies with parsing large log files and loading large amounts of data in thedatawarehouse.
  • Work with custom solutions team to help with processing scripts. These are pre-processing scripts which prep the log files for the SPL interpreter.
  • Be familiar with parallel processing architectures for optimum log parsing time.
  • Write efficient PERL, SQL code.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

As an architect, you will be the point person for Glassbeam's proprietary parsing language called SPL (Semiotic Parsing Language). You will be responsible for:

  1. Design and development of functional enhancements to the language interpreter SPLi
  2. Data warehouse Performance / Optimization
  3. ETL Performance - data load / reload performance and optimization
  4. Hands on development for log parsing / Regular Expressions, PERL & SQL
  5. Data Analytics - Reactive and Predictive
  6. Research emerging technologies in the big data space like Hadoop, MapReduce, and other NoSQL technologies in the context of Glassbeam application with the intent of improving upon increasingly demanding performance challenges.

Qualifications:

  1. 6 - 8 years of relevant experience in architecture and development in the area of log analytics / Data warehousing software
  2. Expertise and focus on areas related to big data, log aggregation/analytics, SQL, data mining, DW, parsing, DB performance tuning, etc.
  3. Strong familiaritywithunderlying ETL process of building a data warehouse
  4. Familiar with clustering and partitioning of high volume data warehouses for optimum performance at lowest cost.

The extracted data will then be formatted into reports or dashboards using web based reporting tools such as LogiXML. You will work collaboratively with SPL developers responsible for generating the custom data in the warehouse, and with reporting engineers responsible for creating the visual reports.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities

  • Interfacing with the customer to understand the domain and the log files
  • Work with the customer to finalize what needs to be part of the data warehouse and how the customer would like to view the information
  • Build Pre-processing scripts to extract log files from the transport mechanism used by the client to send data ( E-mail,SFTPetc)
  • Write the required parsers (Using SPL), to parse data from the log files to create intermediate tables
  • Plan backend schema(Using SPL) to hold all the data being parsed
  • Use SPL to manage the ETL process
  • On a need basis, create custom reports using our reporting platform.

Skill Sets required :

  • Should have worked with log parsing or any kind of parsing before
  • Strong customer facing skills for conducting discovery sessions and interfacing for deliverable presentations
  • Familiarity with business intelligence, reporting, and data warehousing tools and utilities a big plus
