To expand its delivery of services and rich user experiences, the product planning team is seeking a qualified and dedicated Product planner with a proven specialization in knowledge in agile software development processes, business knowledge, organization, independence, good communication and a can-do attitude.

The Product Planner is involved primarily in the pre-development phase of the product development life-cycle. Product vision, work initiation, prioritization, product scope, requirements management, product sponsor management are among the areas of action for this position.  Responsible for detailed functional analysis of incoming business requirements and specifications,  cooperating with Business Owners in all aspects of the analysis and design phase of the project. Works closely with other team members as well as Architects, Engineering, Database and Business Intelligence to breakdown business requests into functional requirements that will continue into the development pipeline. During the development phase, they are primarily concerned with making sure the product under development matches the vision requirements by working with all areas and other teams in software development.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives requests for new development and enhancements from initiating stakeholders and insures that work requests are complete, accurate, and reflect the intent of the initiator
  • Evaluate and analyze the request queue, including elaboration on requests, supporting evaluation of business value, and balancing of capacity with demand
  • Work closely with Business Owners, Development Team and Designers on the scope of an application release, including integration of all approved and applicable work requests into a single project
  • Works with both business and technical stakeholders to create, gather, document, and manage the lifecycle of the business and functional requirements related to work requests, which may include creating use cases and creating documentation for requests; manages the organization and changes to requirements and changes to deliverables
  • Leads, tracks and executes the requirements definition phase of the product development cycle, ensuring that all key stakeholders have participated in the process
  • Continuously identify and implement process/tool improvements for requirements definition/elicitation process
  • Is knowledgeable of competing products and can evaluate product and business performance and feature sets against the competition

The Senior QA Engineer is responsible for assuring the quality of Sony Network Entertainment (SNEI) internal and customer-facing applications using automation as well as manual black-box and gray-box testing techniques. Duties include trouble-shooting and resolving functional and unit test code, test environment and infrastructure issues, as well as working with test case management, issue tracking, source control, reporting, and other tools.
 
In the course of performing this function, the Senior QA Engineer relies on his or her extensive background in software development, software testing, system administration, script automation, testing frameworks, and associated organizational processes.
 
The Senior QA Engineer is a member of the QA team, reports to the Quality Assurance Project Lead, and collaborates closely with the Development and Product teams.
 
Requirements:
Develop, execute, and maintain both automation scripts using Selenium as well as manual tests.
Develop, execute, and maintain unit tests in a JavaScript framework.
Perform both black-box‚ and gray-box testing of SNEI's internal and customer-facing applications by analyzing applications and requirements, and designing and executing test cases.
Integrate, support, use and maintain issue tracking systems such as Rally and Jira, source control tools such as Subversion and git, as well as test case management systems.
Work with QA team members and software developers to trouble-shoot test failures in the various test environments.  This may include trouble-shooting HTML and JavaScript code using Web Browser Development tools, reviewing web server and application server logs, etc.
Work with Product team to ensure implemented functionality was interpreted correctly and meets requirements. 
 

 

Qualifications:

Overall, the position of Digital Distribution Manager is expected to partner with the organization to:
 
  • Merchandise digital content and manage the front-end consumer experience of PlayStation Store to meet company revenue goals.
  • Identify, manage and execute PlayStation Store merchandising and promotional campaigns across PlayStation touch points, to drive sales and meet overall revenue goals.  Touchpoints may include PlayStation Home, original programming, PS.com, web/online social media outlets and emails.
  • Collaborate with PSN and SEN Marketing to develop awareness of PlayStation Store Campaigns among digital gamers through the development of dedicated marketing campaigns in specialized media.
  • Responsible for growing quarterly revenue from PlayStation Store Tens of million Dollars strategic initiatives such as PS3 Full games including Day 1 Digital Games, Ultimate Editions, etc.
  • Manage the frontend merchandising of PlayStation Store on PS3, PS Vita, PSP/PSPgo and PC storefronts and work closely with the Game Store Merchandizing specialist to define and update store categories, while overseeing the merchandising, ad planning, and overall release schedule of digital products for PlayStation Store.
  • Implement strategic merchandising decisions and ecommerce campaigns that positively drive incremental revenue, meet overall PlayStation Store revenue goals and fulfills on the strategic objectives of PSN customer conversion and retention.
  • Be proficient on business intelligent tools to run sales reports and analysis on PlayStation Store business.  Report on results of merchandising plan and weekly publish.  Track and measure improvements.
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with content providers, including but not limited to, non-game theme creators, second party game publishers and digital strategy book publishers.  Responsibilities include oversight over business policies for legal agreements, marketing and promotional support, day-to-day account management and providing timely sales reporting for the content providers. 
  • Execute digital ad sales packages on PlayStation Store, including accurate inventory management, execution of advertising components and weekly reporting. 
  • Work closely with PSN operations and content submitters to ensure proper pricing, timely and strategic release of digital content to maximize revenue generation. Collaborate with PSN operations on establishing, implementing, executing and enforcing new policies and procedures that utilize new tools and enhances the operational flow of PlayStation Store publishes.
